Husk Savannah: Reviews & Ratings
Husk is great if you like the farm to table vibe. Not real great options for menu choices, smaller unique menu. Smaller plates and very $$$$. Got the ribeye for $150 and wasn’t that impressed. Grits was banging though. Inside is stunning. Very old English building. Nice to go once.
Dining with Dirk: Happy Monday Hour Edition After a tour of the Davenport House, my quartet headed to Husk for a couple of drinks and a run of the happy hour menu. Rebecca was prompt and attentive—waters hit the bar quickly, drinks were ordered, and food orders were taken smoothly. We opted to try every item on the happy hour menu, all of which arrived together. In order of best, better, good: NC Oysters led the pack. Smaller in size, but packed with texture and flavor, more than making up for it. Rebecca shared insight into seasonal algae and noted this was their first availability of the year—a nice touch that added context to the experience. Next up was the cheeseburger. Great flavor, not greasy, with perfectly warm, melted cheese. Say no more. Third were the wings—warm, golden brown, and coated with a tasty seasoning that delivered exactly what you want from a happy hour wing. Next to last came the deviled eggs. I loved the pickle slice on top, but I found myself wishing for a bit more mayonnaise. I’ll blame the Southern inner fat kid in me. Last, but not least, were the hush puppies. Crispy and golden on the outside and larger than expected. That larger size, however, took away from the interior texture and moistness. A punchy dipping sauce would’ve paired nicely. To close it out, The Old Bungalow was the perfect ending to the hour.
We were WARMLY greeted by Andrew who is their General Manager of Husk. The restaurant has a great vibe. I treated myself to a flight of 3 wonderful bourbons from their extensive bourbon offerings. I enjoyed a 1oz pour P. Van Winkle. Their menu served up some delicious southern dishes. From the warm White Lilly Biscuits to the mains that we all enjoyed it was a real treat. As with all my reviews, hopefully the pics to the culinary presentation justice. Our server Portia and her colleagues ensured that we were WELL taken care of as she was never far away. On the way out we met up with Andrew again. He accompanied us outside and chatted with us while we waited for our ride to arrive. What a wonderful overall experience. We were spoiled by our experience @ HUSK.
We had a fantastic experience with our out of town friends; our server was very knowledgeable and guided us on the menu selections. From oysters, chilled shrimp, charcuterie board, and excellent buttery cornbread, to the mains were packed with flavors and seasoned perfectly. Thank you Husk and team! We will definitely return for more
Enjoyed dinner here with family. Prices were a bit steep for the portions in my opinion. We were pleased that they were able to accommodate a teenager that's less adventurous with food though. I had the swordfish, with tiara rice, and butter beans. Everything was cooked perfectly and blended well together. I think they could've went a little lighter on the beans and added more rice. Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable and kind. She was very helpful as we tried to navigate the menu.
My husband and I were in town for a concert and decided to try Husk. We sat in the main dinning room upstairs which was stunning yet cozy, even with this large room they were able to make it feel intimate. We started with a hibiscus infused old-fashioned which may sound odd, but the subtle floral infusion turned a classic cocktail into something truly special.. We shared the coal fired chicken, which may sound simple, but the sauce and side made it a wonderful combination. The shrimp and grits was a bit too rich for me but my husband thought it was some of the best he’s had. What really made the evening was our server Kelly. His knowledge of the menu, wine, and cocktail list was exceptional. It was like having a pairing dinner. He introduced us to some wines that we would not have considered. The highlight was desert. Kelly suggested an apple brandy to accompany the cheesecake with an amazing crust, topped with fresh cream and poached pears. The pears, chessecake and brandy combo was the perfect ending to our meal. We can’t wait to return on our next visit and will definitely ask for Kelly.
Our Valentine’s dinner at Husk in Savannah was absolutely fantastic. The restaurant, housed in a beautifully restored, classic Savannah-style building, perfectly blends historic charm with modern elegance. We sat on the second floor, where a large, striking bar anchors the room. Our booth was cozy, and our waiter was incredibly knowledgeable, explaining every dish in detail. The cocktails were excellent, and if you’re feeling adventurous, the bartenders will happily rise to the challenge. The food truly delivered on its promise—modern Southern cuisine with well-balanced flavors. You could taste the freshness in every bite, and the dishes were crafted with just the right level of nuance—never overpowering, just spot-on. Our whole group found something to love from the menu. Overall, whether you’re looking for a romantic, intimate dinner or a delightful evening with friends, Husk is a fantastic choice!
From the first step inside till the end of the evening it was a magical experience. Our server Fatima was fantastic and made the greatest recommendations. The manger also came by and he was friendly and attentive. Everyone was fantastic! The food is knock out and the experience memorable. If you are wanting a special night out, a night to remember, an amazing time this is the place.
